48-Year Old Woman Killed By SEPTA Train In Montco
SEPTA says that local authorities will release the 48-year-old victim's name pending notification of next of kin.

The identify of the woman killed Sunday morning by a SEPTA train on the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail has not yet been released, according to SEPTA authorities.
SEPTA officials said that police were handling identification and notification of next of kin, and that they would be the ones to announce the victim’s name.
The woman was 48-years-old, officials said.

The victim was on the tracks just north of the intersection of Mt. Pleasant and Railroad Avenues in Ambler when she was struck at about 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, officials said.
It is not known what the victim was doing on the tracks, nor why she was unable to get out of the way when the train blew its horn.

An investigation is underway, according to SEPTA.
The incident caused service to be suspended for several hours on Sunday afternoon between Doylestown and Glenside.
