Woman Uncovers Family History At Lansdale Vintage Store
A local vintage shop reconnected a woman with her family's heirlooms.

LANSDALE, PA — Thanks to a local vintage shop, one woman has been able to reconnect with her family history.
A shopper, Melanie, was browsing through The Shabby Attic in Lansdale when she came across something that looked familiar.
"That's a picture of my favorite uncle," she said in shock, according to a Facebook post from the store detailing the serendipitious incident. "That's my parents wedding picture."

As store owner Karin Wolfle took a glance at the photos, she saw that Melanie was the "spitting image" of the man in the photo, her father.
It turns out that Wolfle found the photos amongst some discarded furniture in front of a vacated house. This was years ago.

"I was meant to save them from rubbish," Wolfle said in the post. "And she was meant to come in on a beautiful June day to see what we are all about, and leave with something she'll cherish forever.
Wolfle added that the whole experience gets to the very heart of the reason she does what she does.
"We are passionate about what we do because it's about more than furniture," she wrote. "It's knowing the reason why I've worked so hard six days a week for 15 years. Because each item tells a story. We add a new chapter with every makeover. But somedays, the story amazingly writes itself."
The store is located on 810 W. Main Street in the borough.
