• $38 million in state grants to fund new traffic signals on McKnight Road, 3 city intersections (post-gazette.com subscription) — Lawrenceville’s Butler and Main streets are set for new traffic signals and concrete bumpouts, funded through a state Green Light-Go grant to Pittsburgh aimed at safer, shorter crossings and slower turns. The same $38 million statewide program is also upgrading signals in South Side Flats, Larimer, and multiple nearby suburbs, promising smoother traffic and better pedestrian safety across the region.
