• Services Announced for Fallen Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Michael Pahira Jr. (skooknews.com) — A fallen Pennsylvania State Police trooper who once served with Troop N in Lehighton will be honored with public funeral services next Wednesday in Ashland, including a visitation and community procession. Trooper Michael Pahira Jr., a former standout wrestler and longtime trooper, died in the line of duty July 1 on I-81 in Schuylkill County. A scholarship in his name will support young wrestlers.
