Two dogs died in a fire Friday morning in Levittown, according to reports.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito tells the Bucks County Courier Times that the fire heavily damaged a home on Red Cedar Drive in Bristol Township. The blaze started near a space heater, the report said.

A 25-year-old man escaped the fire, the Courier Times reports.

""I was sleeping on the couch. I had a space heater too close to me. I tried to go back to get my dogs but the flames were already in the hall," Jacob Greiner told the publication.
