2 Fires Fought In Bristol On Tuesday

Fire crews were called to a house fire that heavily damaged the attic and an apartment fire that started in the kitchen.

BRISTOL, PA — Firefighters in Bristol responded to fires at two separate dwellings Tuesday afternoon and evening.

At 2:43 p.m, crews were called to a house fire on the 10 block of Verdant Road in Bristol Township after a passing neighbor saw flames. The home's attic was heavily damaged by fire and there was smoke and water damage throughout the house, said Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.

The fire was under control by 3:10 p.m. and there were no injuries, Dippolito said. He said the fire started outside the home and spread into the attic.

Then at 6:46 p.m., crews were called again, this time to an apartment fire on Elizabeth Lane. Dippolito said that fire was contained to the stove and cabinets in the kitchen.

He said the fire, caused by overheated cooking oil, caused smoke damage throughout the apartment and there was water damage to an office below the apartment. There were no injuries in that fire, either.
