2 Shed Fires Reported In Bristol Township

One involved homeless people living in a shed while the other was in the rear yard of a home, fire officials said.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Fire crews handled two shed fires over the past few days.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said there was a shed fire in the rear yard at a home in the 800 block of First Avenue over the weekend.

He said the cause Bristol Township was likely candles that were left burning in the shed.

No injuries were reported and the Croydon Fire Company handled the blaze.

On Friday night, another shed caught fire.

Dippolito said fire crews were dispatched at 10:26 p.m. Friday to 1230 Norton Avenue.

A shed there was slated for demolition as part of the site of a 51-unit senior housing building "The Lighthouse at Norton Ave.,” Dippolito said.

He said that homeless individuals were reportedly living in the shed but none were present when police and firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
