2019 Philadelphia Region Student Video Winners Announced
Armstrong Middle School Wins Big at "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?" Event

The "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?" awards ceremony was held Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA. The student video contest includes 15 regional contests throughout PA and culminates with a state-wide event on April 30, 2019. Armstrong students received the Outstanding Overall Video Program award. The team produced a video about its partner Marcon Dynamics, a manufacturer of linear and mechanical motion components and systems and a provider of automation solutions for applications
The Philadelphia contest matched Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia county schools with major manufacturing companies in the Greater Philadelphia area. The team competed against 25 other schools from across the region.
More than 300 people attended the event, including Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Gale and Deputy Secretary of PA Workforce Development Eileen Cipriani.

The Armstrong team will head to the state competition in Harrisburg, PA on April 30th.
