Apartment Fire Under Investigation In Falls Township

FALLSINGTON, PA —Authorities said that a Saturday evening fire is under investigation after a resident was treated for smoke inhalation and a family was temporarily displaced.

The Falls Fire Company and several surrounding companies were dispatched to the Commons of Fallsington for a reported apartment fire at 6:22 p.m. Saturday, the Falls Township Fire Marshal reported.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in an apartment and quickly extinguished it.

The Falls Fire Company was assisted by Morrisville, Fairless Hills, Levittown 1, Levittown 2, Edgely, Yardley, William Penn, and Penndel.

The Levittown/Fairless Hills Rescue Squad was also on the scene.

One resident was checked for smoke inhalation, and no firefighters were reported injured and all pets were accounted for.

The Red Cross was requested to assist the residents with temporary housing.

Working smoke detectors activated notifying residents of the fire.

The fire started in the kitchen and is under investigation by the Falls Township Fire Marshal's office.
