Armstrong Hosted 40+ Community Partners at Back to School Nights

Neil A. Armstrong Middle School's Counseling Department sponsored more than 40 organizations who exhibited their support services.

Levittown - Armstrong Middle School’s Counseling Department sponsored more than 40 community organizations who exhibited their support services to the Armstrong community at the Open Houses/Back to School Nights. Community partners offer services in a variety of categories ranging from family, health and government to careers, education and after school programs. Representatives set up booths for display in the cafeteria at the seventh and eighth grade open house on Wednesday night, Sept. 25, and the sixth grade open house on Thursday night, Sept. 26.

Parents and guardians interacted with community organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, Bucks County Community College, BuxMont CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD), NAMI Bucks County, PA Office of Attorney General Bureau of Consumer Protection, Safe2Say and YMCA of Bucks County. In addition to community reps, Armstrong’s Tiger Techs represented technology and the cheerleaders represented the school-wide positive behavior support program. The Armstrong News Network produced the video of the administration, school counseling and program introductions show to the parents and guardians in homeroom.

“Armstrong was thrilled by the increased number of Community Partners who exhibited at our annual Open House and we received many positive comments from the parents and guardians,” said Karla Davis Jones, Armstrong school counselor. “It was a win-win for everyone!”
