Authorities Investigate Fatal Police-Involved Shooting In Bristol
Authorities say the man was shot by police after he confronted officers with a weapon.

A suspect in a New York stabbing was shot to death Friday by police in Bristol Township after he allegedly approached officers with a weapon, authorities confirmed. The shooting is under investigation by the Bucks County District Attorney's Office. Such an investigation is standard procedure whenever deadly force is used by law enforcement officers, the District Attorney said.
The identity of the man shot has not been released pending notification of his next of kin. He was in his late 20s, according to the District Attorney.
He was shot around 12:15 p.m. on Edgeley Road, just south of Runway Road after Bristol Township Police responded to a call about a car with New York plates that had been sitting on the side of the road for an "extended period of time," the District Attorney's office said.
