Dave Portnoy Visits Bucks Co. Pizzeria For 'One Bite' Pizza Review

He came up with an overall rating of 7.8, but gave the crunch rating as 9.1.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Barstool Sports Founder David Portnoy has returned to Lower Bucks County after nearly two years to check out another pizzeria.

The self-described pizza lover appeared at Pizza Di Vita on 110 Lincoln Highway in Fairless Hills this week to sample a slice as part of his "One Bite" internet pizza critic role.

First off, after leaving the pizza place with a drink and a plain white pizza box in his hand, Portnoy said he was in New Jersey.

"This pizza feels light in the box," said El Presidente, who was wearing a Boston Red Sox hat.

He opened the box and stated that he wasn't sure what the pizza — which had big pieces of basil on it — was going to look like.

He seemed to be impressed by the pizza's "undercarriage" and said the pizza looked more "Greek-style."

He took a bite, looked at the slice several times and said: "This is so interesting." He took another bite and said that he loved the texture and said that the slice was "super crispy."

After taking another bite, Portnoy repeated that he loved the texture and crunch, but said the pizza slice was somewhat dry.

"This one is boggling my brain a little bit," said Portnoy as he tried to come up with a rating.

He came up with an overall rating of 7.8, but gave the crunch rating as 9.1.

"The whole thing is very good. What I'm confused about is that this would be a homerun score for me."

In December 2023, Portnoy visited HG Bucks Bagels at 1179 York Road in Warminster. He has also visited Lucatelli's Pizzeria in Doylestown.
