MIDDLETOWN, PA — Police in Middletown are warning the public about a telephone scam going around that targets users of Apple products.

The calls are coming from a 1-800 number and a recorded message claims that the call is from tech company Apple, Middletown Police said in a social media post. The recording goes on to say that the recipient's iCloud account has been compromised.

A prompt asks the recipient to stay on the line for a live person, who then comes on the line and attempts to get the recipient to share personal information.
