Beware of Letter Scam, Middletown Twp. Police Say

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —The Middletown Township Police Department is warning about a scam regarding mailers being sent out to township residents.

Police said they've become aware that someone has sent out mailers, specifically targeting the 55 and over communities. Police said they are not certain of that yet.

Police said it is a scam and that residents should not send in payments.

"To some, this may seem obvious, but to others, this could have you fooled," police said. "Our best advise: Please talk to your friends and neighbors and make sure that you use this piece of mail to start up your next fire during this beautiful false fall we are having."
