Bicyclist Struck and Killed In Falls Township
Falls Township Police are seeking the identity of the bicyclist who was killed on South Pennsylvania Avenue on Monday morning.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —An unidentified man was struck and killed while riding his bicycle on South Pennsylvania Avenue Monday morning, police said.
The Falls Township Police Department said that they responded to a report in the 1900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, to investigate an accident involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist at 12:40 a.m. Monday.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 24-year-old Drexel Hill man was driving his 2008 Pontiac Grand Am on South Pennsylvania Avenue when he struck the male bicyclist, who was driving in the same lane as he was.

Due to the severity of the collision, the bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
The operator of the motor vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Alcohol, drugs, or a medical emergency are not believed to be factors in the accident, police said.
The fatality marked the third involving a bicyclist in the township over the past few months.
The bicyclist has yet to be identified. The man is described as being between the ages of 40 to 50 with tattoos on his chest and left forearm.
