"I am delighted that this unique, colonial-era building — one of the oldest in Middletown Township —will be preserved as a museum," said Patricia Mervine, who has written a book, “Boone Farm: Its People and Place in Middletown History.”
This book will be released as a fundraiser for AAMBC at the gala at Parx Casino on Friday, Dec. 2. The book will also be available at Commonplace Reader bookstore in Yardley in December.
"The African American Museum of Bucks County has been, to this point, a mobile museum of temporary installations and educational presentations throughout the county," Mervine said. "The creation of this permanent home for the African American Museum of Bucks County opens up exciting opportunities for many more visitors to learn about the history and heritage of the diverse cultures that make up our community."
The African American Museum of Bucks County will host its annual fundraiser “Building Our Dream” on Dec. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Parx Casino.
