Bristol Borough Cop Injured During Arrest, Man Charged With Aggravated Assault

Several area police departments were called in to assist. Jordan Roberts, 30, is facing charges of aggravated assault, police said.

BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA — A Bristol Borough police officer was injured during an arrest Sunday. The officer, who was not identified, has been treated at Lower Bucks Hospital and released, authorities said.

A 30-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the incident. Jordan Roberts has been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of controlled substance, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

According to police, officers were investigating a report of a possible armed and wanted person on Buckley Street. The defendant, later identified as Roberts, refused to identify himself and began to physically fight with officers.

Other individuals began to surround the officers and attempted to interfere with the arrest, authorities with the Bristol Borough Police Department said. "Several" area police departments arrived to assist officers and Roberts was eventually taken into custody.

Roberts was also found to be in possession of narcotics, police said.

He was sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
