Bristol Company Donates $10,000 To Fight Hunger

BRISTOL, PA — A Bristol company, through its foundation, is donating $10,000 to fight hunger in Bucks County.

Employees at Cummins Sales and Service, of Bristol, which sells engines, filtration and power generators, announced they will make the grant to United Way of Bucks County in support of its Bucks Knocks Out Hunger, Stuff the Bus and other community programs.

In addition to funding, the Cummins team provides significant volunteer support. Their projects include providing free oil changes as part of the transportation and emergency needs program, supplying and packing toiletry kits to those in need and participating in signature events like Bucks Knocks Out Hunger and Stuff the Bus.

Many Cummins employees are donors through their annual United Way workplace campaign.

United Way of Bucks County has worked for more than 60 years to improve lives in the county by uniting donors, advocates and volunteers, focusing on early childcare and education programs, helping families in emergencies, supporting seniors and helping the hungry and homeless.

The Cummins Foundation was created in 1954, 35 years after Cummins was founded. It was one of the earliest corporate foundations and serves as the company's charitable giving organization.
