Bristol Sexual Assault Gives Two-Time Sex Offender 25 To 50 Year Sentence: Report

Adam Wayne Darroch was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman while she slept, reports say.

A Bristol man who was found guilty of a 2015 sexual assault of a sleeping woman was sentenced to 25 to 50 years prison time Wednesday, making this his second sexual assault conviction.

Adam Wayne Darroch, 49, of Bristol Township, got the hefty sentence as provisions of Megan's Law state a second sex offense has a mandatory minimum of 25 to 50 years, the Bucks County Intelligencer reports.

Darroch was found guilty by a jury in June for the September sexual assault of a sleeping Bristol Township woman.

The Intelligencer reports Darroch's first sexual assault occurred in 2002 when he assaulted a 9-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty to the assault and served nearly two years after violating his parole by contacting the victim in 2004.

Darroch was deemed a sexually violent predator with a chronic, lifetime paraphilic disorder through a state Sexual Offender Assessment Board evaluation, court records show.
