Bristol Township Gets $670K To Improve 3 Traffic Signals

Bristol Township has received approximately $670K from the state to improve traffic signals at three local intersections.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Bristol Township has received approximately $670K from the state to improve traffic signals at three local intersections. Bristol Township is one of four municipalities in Bucks County that will receive a combined total of nearly $2.5 million from the state of Pennsylvania to complete various traffic signal upgrade projects.

The township will receive $252,184 for traffic signal modernization along State Road at Cedar Avenue. Another $191,255 grant has been awarded for traffic signal modernization along Radcliffe Street at Randall Avenue. And $226,194 has been awarded for traffic signal modernization along Mill Creek Parkway at Haines Road.

A total of 92 municipalities in Pennsylvania will receive $33 million as part of the state Department of Transportation’s “Green Light-Go” program.The Green Light-Go program is designed to provide state funds for the operation and maintenance of traffic signals along critical and designated corridors on state highways.

In addition to the projects in Bristol Township, the following Bucks County municipalities will receive state funding:

  • Bensalem Township -- $501,102 for installation of Adaptive Traffic Signal Equipment and Software along the Hulmeville Road Corridor from Street Road to Bristol Road.
  • Upper Southampton Township -- $1,079,069 for installation of Adaptive Traffic Signal Equipment and Software along the Second Street Pike Corridor.
  • Yardley -- $212,960 for Intersection Improvements along Main Street at Afton Avenue.
