Bristol Twp. Adopts 2017 Budget With No Burden On Taxpayers
The $55.2 million holds the line on fees and taxes

Happy holidays Bristol Township residents: your 2017 township budget is keeping taxes and fees the same as 2016.
The township's budget $55.2 million budget passed earlier this month and makes 2017 the fourth budget in a row to hold the line on the millage rate.
Not only does the budget keep your wallet safe, it will keep you safe as significant amounts of money have been earmarked for police and fire services.

The budget contains $165,000 for new police patrol vehicles and $100,000 capital grants for Bristol’s five volunteer fire companies according to the township.
The township will also invest $1 million for a blight elimination program to eliminate uninhabitable and vacant houses in the township.

$2 million will be used to beautify parts of the township to entice business and $500,000 will be spend to pave five miles of township roads, as well.
“The Council has again acted responsibly by approving a township budget that holds property taxes steady, does not raise any fees,and keeps a tight lid on spending, but also directs resources to boost public safety and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods,” Council President Craig Bowen said in a statement.
