Bristol Twp. Announces 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

LEVITTOWN – Bristol Township School District is honored to announce the Induction Class for the 2019 Athletic Hall of Fame. The District will honor eleven former athletes and two recipients of the Distinguished Service Award at the Awards Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m., at Georgine’s Restaurant.

The Distinguished Service honorees are:

• Bill Schellhorn Sr. – Former teacher, and varsity wrestling, baseball and soccer coach at Truman High School.
• Jim White – Longtime operations, safety, environmental and training coordinator at BTSD, and founding member of the Hall of Fame Committee.

The athletic inductees are:

• Victor Jones – Basketball and baseball (Wilson Class of 1961)
• Don Harm – Football, basketball and baseball (Wilson Class of 1970)
• Craig DeBarnardo – Soccer (Wilson Class of 1973)
• Lorenzo Henderson – Football and track (Delhaas Class of 1975)
• Sam Boone - Football, basketball and baseball (Truman Class of 1982)
• Mary Pat Lelinski - Field hockey, basketball and softball (Truman Class of 1984)
• Scott Stevenson – Soccer, wrestling and baseball (Truman Class of 1987)
• Bill Schellhorn Jr. – Wrestling, soccer and baseball (Truman Class of 1989)
• Jason Scheerer – Football and track (Truman Class of 1998)
• Rondell Bradley – Football and track (Truman Class of 2000)
• Ashley Black – Softball (Truman Class of 2011)

To celebrate the accomplishments of these athletes and Distinguished Service winners, the Awards Banquet will feature a social hour with hors d’oeuvres, dinner program and awards presentation. Georgine’s Restaurant is located at 1320 Newport Road, Bristol.

Tickets are $35 and registration is due by Friday, Oct. 11. Checks should be made out to the Bristol Township Athletic Hall of Fame, c/o Wendy Thayres, Athletic Office, Truman High School, 3001 Green Lane, Levittown, PA 19057. Please include any seating preferences with your check.
