Bristol Twp. Fall Festival Postponed Due To Stormy Forecast

Bristol Township said that heavy rain and wind gusts expected on Saturday will delay the annual event until Oct. 14.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —With Saturday's forecast calling for heavy rain and wind gusts, Bristol Township has decided to postpone its annual fall festival.

Township officials said the event will be rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event was originally scheduled for Saturday with a rain date of Sunday but organizers decided to push it back until next month.

The annual Fall Festival in Bristol Township is a fun family outing with something for everyone.

With more than 60 vendors, featuring hayrides, bounce houses, face painters, balloon artists, characters, and food trucks, the event is hosted by Bristol Township Parks & Recreation.

Here is a look at the latest forecast for southeast Pennsylvania from the National Weather Service:

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 74. North wind around 5 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East wind 5 to 15 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of rain after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Northeast wind around 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Rain, mainly after 9am. High near 64. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: Rain likely, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Sunday Night: A chance of rain before 9pm, then a chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
