Bristol Woman Charged With Heroin Distribution: U.S. Attorney

​A 28-year-old Bristol woman has been charged by indictment with distributing heroin and related crimes, the U.S. Attorney has announced.

BRISTOL, PA -- Two people, including a woman from Bristol, have been charged by indictment with distributing heroin and related crimes, United States Attorney Louis D. Lappen announced Wednesday.

James Williams, 30, of Philadelphia and Aisha Jones, 28, of Bristol, were charged with one count of distribution of heroin, one count of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Williams was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

If convicted, Williams faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum five years’ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence imposed, a mandatory minimum three years of supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, a $2,500,000 fine, and a $400 special assessment.

Jones, if convicted, faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum five years’ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence imposed, a mandatory minimum three years of supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, a $2,250,000 fine, and a $300 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Bensalem Township Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew J. Schell.
