BTSD Education Foundation Awards $14K towards Grants

Upcoming 5K Race helps to fund Foundation grants

The Bristol Township School District Foundation for Educational Excellence is proud to announce the funding for 32 staff developed grant proposals for a total of $14,107.31. Since its inception, the BTSD Foundation for Educational Excellence has provided funding for more than $400,000 in grants that support the mission of the organization, to "Promote educational advancement, healthy lifestyles and acceptable behavior in Bristol Township schools."

Grants have been awarded to staff members at all of the District's schools and these projects and programs offer a wide variety of enrichment activities to students. This year, the Foundation will be sponsoring dual enrollment scholarships which will allow some Truman High School Students to take courses through Bucks County Community College and earn college credits while still in high school.

The Foundation is a 501c3 organization run by a group of volunteers who are current and former BTSD employees. The majority of its income comes through voluntary payroll contributions by current employees. In addition, the Foundation also hosts fundraisers such as the upcoming Delhaas Dash (5K) & Tiger Run The Woods (Mile) which will be held in partnership with the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
