Car Crashes Into Pole, Causes Fire In Hulmeville
The William Penn Fire Company and mutual aid fire departments responded to a car accident on Wednesday afternoon.

HULMEVILLE BOROUGH, PA —A car crashed into a pole, bringing down wires and causing a fire, fire officials said.
The William Penn Fire Company's Engine 7 and Engine 244 were dispatched Wednesday afternoon to a traffic accident with a fire in Hulmeville Borough.
Battalion Chief 44 arrived first on the scene and reported a car had crashed into a pole with wires down, causing an active fire.

Shortly after, Squirt 44, Engine 77, and Rescue 8 were added to extinguish the fire once the power was secured.
Fire crews that assisted included the Middletown Fire & Emergency Services, Newport Fire Company, Penndel Fire Company #1, Station 8, and the Hulmeville Borough Police Department.
