Christmas Eve Fire Contained In Bristol Township

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Fire crews contained a Christmas Eve morning fire at a township home before it could spread throughout the house.

Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said that the fire began shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday to a home on Kraft Lane.

He said that a resident smelled smoke and upon investigating found smoke coming from the laundry room of the home.

The resident kept the door to the laundry area closed, which helped contain the damage to the laundry room and garage, Dippolito said.

He said the resident was using the dryer shortly before the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The Edgely Fire Company handled the fire with assistance from the Levittown No. 1 and Levittown No. 2 fire companies.
