Cold beer, tasty food, awesome blues, all for a great cause

What if supporting aspiring young musicians was a simple as enjoying a cold beer?

Sound too easy? It's not.

Come to McStew's Irish Sports Bar (5316 New Falls Road in Levittown) on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For a $25 donation, you'll be treated to a Beef & Beer and enjoy the blues of Mike Mettalia and Midnight Shift. Proceeds from the tickets and raffles held during the event will support the Students in Concert program of the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County.

The Students in Concert program supports musicians in the Bristol Township School Distrct. Working with Keith Krelove, music instructor at Truman High School, the Students In Concert project provides – at no cost to the school district – musical instruments, music scores, instructional specialists, and other support as needed to engage students. Many students are precluded from participating in the school music program due to financial need. Mr. Krelove and his colleagues in the school music department have identified an existing instrumental ensemble to serve as a cornerstone.

You can click here to buy your tickets. Come thirsty, come hungry and come ready to enjoy a foot-stomping good time. Oh, and you'll be doing it all in the name of helping young musicians. Hope to see you there!
