NWS observations indicate that rainfall is approaching one inch across portions of the region.

“At the same time, last night’s snow and ice is melting and adding to the runoff. The combination of rain and melting snow will cause minor flooding across portions of the advised area,” the NWS said.

The flooding fears follow days of extreme weather, including wind chills blow zero on Saturday and Sunday. A snow and ice storm followed Monday, with thunder and downpours close behind.

Will the wild weather continue throughout the week?
