Community Cleanup Day In Bristol Twp. Saturday

Bristol Township is hosting a community and neighborhood cleanup day. Volunteers are needed to make it a cleaner and greener environment.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —They want to clean up this town. And if the weather holds up, on Saturday they will.

Bristol Township's Community and Neighborhood Cleanup is scheduled from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. (A rain date is scheduled for Saturday, March 9.)

The township is seeking volunteers to "join us for a day of community camaraderie and environmental stewardship for a cleaner and greener environment."

The event is open to the public.

The cleanup is starting at Venice Ashby, Green Lawn Park, Green Lane, and Fleetwing/Bloomsdale.

Gloves, vests, and trash bags will be provided. Residents can also use and bring their own trash picker.

Food, drinks, and snacks will be provided after the cleanup.

The township's public works department will collect the waste on Monday.
