Congressman to Meet Truman's Next Generation of Voters on Oct. 3

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick Speak to Truman High School Juniors on Oct. 3.

LEVITTOWN – With a presidential election nearing, it is vital for high schoolers to register to vote when they turn 18 and exercise their fundamental right to democracy. Through the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Levittown native, indicated that he would like to meet with the next generation of leaders and voters to discuss the impact of the government.

Truman High School invited Fitzpatrick to speak and he will engage young constituents about the political process during his visit to Truman High on Thursday, Oct. 3. He will speak to junior civics and government students during second period.

“Our hope is that students learn about public service, the important role that government plays and be encouraged to exercise their voice as part of the political process,” said Truman teacher Keith Flynn.
