Crews Battle House Fire In Bristol

The fire started in the home's kitchen near an appliance, according to the Bristol Township fire marshal.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Fire crews in Bristol Township battled a house fire on New Falls Road on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were called at 8:54 a.m. to the home in the 2800 block of New Falls Road. According to Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito, the fire began in the home's kitchen near an appliance.

The kitchen was heavily damaged in the fire, Dippolito said, and the rest of the house received heat and smoke damage.

Two residents were in the home and had been asleep, but woke up and escaped the fire, Dippolito said. There were no injuries to firefighters or residents.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family after the blaze, Dippolito said.
