Davis, Sposato Race In House 141: Davis Headed To Win
Real-Time Results: Democratic Rep. Tina Davis hopes to be elected to the state Senate, but is running to keep her House seat just in case.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — She hopes to be a state senator next year. But, if she fails to win that neck-and-neck race Tuesday night, state Rep. Tina Davis will hold onto her seat in the state House of Representatives representing the 141st District.
With 31 of 32 precincts reporting at about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Davis had a winning lead, 13,053 to 7,922, over her opponent, in unofficial results.
Davis, a Democrat from Bristol Towship, is on the ballot to defend her seat even as she is challenging Republican state Sen. Tommy Tomlinson for the District 6 state senate seat. Pennsylvania law allows a candidate to seek re-election even as they are seeking a higher office.

In her re-election bid, Davis faces Republican challenger Anthony Sposato, a former member of the Neshaminy school board who unsuccessfully ran for the post in 2012. Davis clobbered him in that race, getting 17,630 votes to Sposato's 6,671.
Polls closed in the race at 8 p.m. but, by 8:30 p.m., Bucks County election officials had released no official returns.

Davis's district is a solidly blue one, with Democrats having represented the area since the 1960s. Her campaign has alleged that Sposato's attacks against her are, in fact, a proxy war of sorts trying to hurt her chances against Tomlinson.
And it's gotten ugly.
The Davis campaign has sued Sposato for defamation over a political ad seeking to tie her to criminal charges filed, then dismissed, against her husband. In September, James Davis was charged with housing theft, with charges saying he stole housing assistance money intended for a low-income tenant.

His attorneys said the case was the result of a misunderstanding and authorities dismissed two felony charges against him after he agreed to repay about $30,000 to the Bucks County Housing Authority. Tina Davis was never accused in the case.
District 141 is centered in the Levittown area, including Bristol Township, Croydon and Penndel.
Davis hails from Bristol Township, while Sposato is from Bensalem.
