Daytime Lane Restrictions Planned On Rt. 1 At Oxford Valley

Lane restrictions at the Oxford Valley Road interchange begin Monday and will go through Friday.

Daytime lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound and southbound Rt. 1 at the Oxford Valley Road interchange from Monday, Feb. 6, through Friday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The restrictions are necessary as crews work on the rehabilitation of the Oxford Valley Road overpass.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the construction area because slowdowns may occur. The work schedule is weather dependent, according to PennDOT.

Crews began construction in November to rehabilitate the Oxford Valley Road bridge, which was damaged by an oversized truck in 2015. Crews will replace two steel beams and repair three steel beams.

Construction on the bridge is scheduled to finish in June 2017.
