'Disturbing' Messages Prompt Police Presence At Pennsbury High

Falls Township Police have an added presence at Pennsbury High School Wednesday after some "disturbing" messages surfaced on social media Tuesday, according to authorities.

In a message sent to parents of Pennsbury High School students, the district administration said the disturbing messages were investigated by both Lower Makefield and Falls Township police.

"We can assure the community that Pennsbury High School will be safe and we are planning a normal opening tomorrow. Keystone exams will still take place as scheduled," the Tuesday message from the district said.

Falls Police confirmed it would be present at both campuses Wednesday to ensure the safety "of all students and staff."

The nature of the social media messages was not revealed.
