Dramatic Tip Leads To Falls Twp. Drug Bust

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Falls Township made a fairly dramatic drug bust on Saturday — though it wasn't quite the blockbuster that they'd been tipped off about.

On Saturday, the Falls Township Police Department received a tip that a vehicle parked on a car carrier in the Morrisville area was carrying "$2 million and a lot of guns," according to a news release.

Based on that info, they got task force officers from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Drug Enforcement Agency involved and searched the vehicle. The results? Six pounds of marijuana and more than $10,000 in cash.

Not a bad haul at all, even if it wasn't a multi-million-dollar weapons stash.
