Driver In Fatal Lower Bucks Crash Fled On Foot: Police
Bristol Township Police said a driver in the crash that killed two people tried to elude authorities after the accident Saturday afternoon.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The driver of one of the vehicles involved in a fatal crash that killed two people and injured two others over the weekend fled on foot following the accident, police said.
The Bristol Township Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Veterans Highway at Ford Road in Bristol, which resulted in two fatalities and two injuries. The crash occurred at 1:32 pm on Saturday.

Nissan Sentra that was turning left from westbound Ford Road onto southbound Veterans Highway, police said.

Two passengers in the Nissan were already dead when police and medics arrived, police said. The driver and another passenger of the Nissan were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Lt. C.J. Winik said.
The driver of the Ford Explorer fled the scene on foot, stole a dump truck, and then crashed that truck on Veterans Highway near the intersection of Old Rodgers Road in Bristol by overturning while failing to negotiate a turn.

He then fled on foot but was apprehended near the scene by Bristol Township Police.
Police did not name the suspect or release the names of the two people who were killed.
It was also unknown what charges would be filed against the man.
Bristol Township Police were assisted by Bristol Township Fire Police, Bucks County Rescue Squad
#143, Bensalem Rescue Squad #188, and Station 12 Newportville Fire Company.
