Driver Identified In Fatal Route 1 Crash In Levittown: Coroner
A 79-year-old Montgomery County man was killed in the one-vehicle crash near Middletown Township Sunday, the Bucks County Coroner said.
LEVITTOWN, PA —A 79-year-old Montgomery County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on southbound Route 1 Sunday, the Bucks County Coroner's Office said.
Frederick Root, 79, of Norristown, died of multiple injuries in the accident around 6:30 p.m. Sunday on southbound Route 1 under the West Interchange bridge on the line between Langhorne Manor Borough and Middletown Township, Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck told Patch Tuesday.
Buck said the cause of death was accidental.

She said that next of kin had been notified and offered her condolences to family and friends.
A fire official said the first crews on the scene found thedriver was removed from the vehicle by Good Samaritan who pulled up to the scene, but the driver was already deceased, LevittownNow reported.
