Man Accused Of Killing Toddler In Falls Headed To Trial

According to prosecutors, the toddler was found dead of inflicted head trauma in Falls Township in December.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A man accused of killing a toddler in Falls Township will head to trial, after a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Shawn Robert Felmey, 45, is charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of children in the Dec. 18 killing of a 22-month old boy, identified as his ex-girlfriend's child.

According to prosecutors, the toddler was found dead of head trauma, an injury a medical examiner says required "substantial force" to inflict.

During Wednesday's hearing, District Judge Jan Vislosky ordered Felmey remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility, where he remains held without bail

Felmey was taken into custody on May 15 in Florida.

His formal arraignment is set for Sept. 14.
