Falls Man Stabbed, Choked, Beat Wife: Police

The man is charged with attempted homicide and other charges after township police say officers had to pull him away from his victim.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A Falls Township man is charged with attempted homicide after police say he stabbed, beat and choked his wife.

Bao Thien Le, 24, of South Olds Boulevard, was arrested Thursday afternoon after township police say they found him in the act of attacking his victim, who is 22.

According to police, officers entered Le's home just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday while responding to a 911 call that had said a man was choking a woman there. Police had to physically stop Le from attacking his victim, said Falls Police Lt. Nelson Whitney.

The woman was treated for her injuries, which included several stab wounds to her head and torso, police said. Evidence showed she was stabbed with a screwdriver, according to police.

Her injuries are not life-threatening, police said.

Le is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, strangulation and recklessly endangering another person.

Judge Jan Vislosky set Le's bail at 10% of $9 million, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
