Falls Police Charge Man With Rape Of A Child
The man, who had an address in Morrisville, has been charged with six felony offenses in the case, according to police.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Falls Township Police have charged a man with what they say were repeated instances of sex crimes against a child younger than 13.
Scott Melvin Galant, 28, is charged with six felonies, including rape of a child, indecent assault of a child less than 13 years old, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, two counts of aggravated indecent assault of a child and unlawful contact with a minor, according to court documents.
Documents from previous court cases show that Galant has an address in Morrisville. He was arraigned in court on Tuesday and is being held in Bucks County jail awaiting a preliminary hearing on Feb. 5.

In a release Wednesday, Falls police said Galant was charged after a lengthy investigation. They said that investigation unveiled "multiple crimes against a minor child." They did not release the child's age or other details about the alleged attacks.
Over the past few years, Galant has faced other charges including public drunkenness, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, court documents show.
