Falls Township House Fire Under Investigation
Fire crews battled a blaze at a home in Pennwood Crossing early Monday morning.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA —The Falls Township Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of an early Monday morning fire.
The Falls Township Fire Company No. 1 —assisted by Fairless Hills, Levittown 1, Levittown 2, and Morrisville Fire Company —was dispatched at 9:24 a.m. Monday to the B section of Pennwood Crossing for a reported house fire.
Upon arrival, the fire was visible from the side and the roof of the home, fire officials said.

The resident reported she was out safe and she was the only person who lived in the home. She was transported to the hospital by the Levittown/Fairless Hills Rescue Squad for treatment.
There were no injuries to firefighters.

The resident's cat was missing but believed to have gotten out of the house, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Falls Township Fire Marshal's office and has been determined to be an accidental fire caused by a portable propane heater.
