Falls Township Toddler Death: What We Know So Far

The 22-month-old boy's death has been ruled a homicide, but details have been slow to emerge in the child's tragic death.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Details have been slowly trickling out in the death of a 22-month-old boy killed on Tuesday at an apartment complex in Falls Township.

Thursday morning, Falls Police Chief William Wilcox said he couldn't release any details in the case, which police and Bucks County District Attorney's office detectives have been investigating nonstop since being called at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

  • The boy's death has been ruled a homicide. The Bucks County Coroner's office ruled that he suffered trauma to the head.
  • Police were called to the child's home, at The Commons at Fallsington apartment complex on Makefield Road at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday and remained there through Wednesday afternoon.
  • His death comes after his twin brother also died young. District Attorney's office spokesman James O'Malley said that the boy’s twin died last year. His death was ruled an unexplained natural death, O'Malley said.
  • Tight-lipped throughout, investigators had not released any information about possible suspects in the case or any other details about the boy's death as of Thursday morning, including his name.
  • ABC-6 was reporting that 18 people lived in the two-bedroom apartment where the toddler was found dead.
