Fallsington Elementary Goes For The Gold

One Million Minute Reading challenge for students and staff at Fallsington Elementary School.

Students and staff at Fallsington Elementary School kicked off their annual reading challenge this year with a theme inspired by the Summer Olympics.

Reading Specialist Aimee Sansotta made the announcement during an assembly at the school on Friday.

Students and staff enjoyed a gymnastic demonstration from, Pennsbury Partner, Schafer School of Gymnastics. Jonathan Schafer, owner, discussed with the students the importance of life lessons and planning in order to reach our goals and overcome challenges. This year students are challenged to read 1,000,000 minutes during the school year.

As part of the challenge, principal Dave Hughes and ESL teacher Jennifer Cornell said they have promised the students that the two of them will learn a gymnastic routine as a reward when the students reach their goal and perform that routine for them later in the school year!

So get to those books and let your imagination run wild!
