The parents of a Trenton boy who was injured on an Oxford Valley Mall escalator in 2014 ​are reportedly suing the local mall.

The parents of a Trenton boy who was injured on an Oxford Valley Mall escalator in 2014 are suing the local mall and the escalator company, according to reports.

NJ.com reports that Celestino Rivas and Maria Jimenez filed a suit last month, saying their then 7-year-old was left permanently disabled and disfigured after his foot got stuck in the escalator on Dec. 14, 2014.

During the incident, the boy was rescued by emergency crews and rushed to CHOP, where he underwent partial amputation of his right toes.
