LEVITTOWN, PA —"Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays."

That's how the saying goes. But Alyssa and Rob Kapusta didn't have a home after theirs was destroyed in a fire last April.

But just before Thanksgiving, the family received a new home.

Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County came to the rescue, handing over the keys last Wednesday to a newly rebuilt home for the family whose lives were upended by the devastating duplex fire.

Mike Lees, owner of Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County, presented the new six-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home on Silverbell Road in Levittown to Alyssa and Rob Kapusta, who will live there with their two daughters and dog Asher.

The family also received a freshly prepared Thanksgiving dinner and a bottle of champagne to mark the occasion.

The Kapusta family lost their home on April 14, 2023, when an electrical fire destroyed their Levittown home and nearly all their belongings.

Awakened by their dog Asher in the middle of the night, the family narrowly escaped the blaze.

After being left with little progress and dwindling resources, the Kapustas turned to Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County for help.

Paul Davis Restoration of Bucks County specializes in restoring homes and businesses damaged by fire, water, mold, storms, and other disasters. The company also handles renovation and construction projects.

Lees and his team worked within the family’s budget and goals. They collaborated closely with them to design a home that not only met their needs but also included special touches to make it special.

Construction began in early summer and was completed in time for the family to move in before the holidays.

“After what happened, it has been a rollercoaster,” Alyssa Kapusta said. “Everything with Paul Davis Restoration went very smoothly, and they made us feel very comfortable.”

The Kapusta family is now looking forward to celebrating Christmas in their new home which will be complete with a tree.
