Fatal Hit-And-Run Reported In Croydon, Driver Fled Through Woods

The driver fled on foot into the woods and through a swamp, sources say.

A man is dead following a fatal hit-and-run in Croydon on Monday morning, and Bristol Township police are seeking the driver who fled through a swamp after the crash, sources say.

According to sources, a car struck and killed a 46-year-old man along the 2900 block of State Road.

It happened just before 7 a.m., Action News reported.

Footage from the scene shows a car was off the road, in a ditch. The driver fled on foot into the woods and through a swamp, sources say.

Authorities have not yet been able to locate the driver. Investigators believe the person driving the vehicle, described as a 2000 Ford Focus, may not be the car's owner, CBS Philly reports.
