Fire At Bristol Apartment Complex Was Arson: Marshal

About 40 people were temporarily evacuated from the apartment building, where smoke was filling the hallways.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — A fire that destroyed an apartment at a complex in Bristol Township on Monday night was set intentionally, according to the fire marshal.

Firefighters from several companies were dispatched at 10:08 p.m. to a fire alarm at Lavana Falls Apartments, on Marion Avenue. Residents were found leaving the building — Building 700 at the complex — and firefighters found smoke in the hallways.

According to Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito, the fire was in an apartment in which no one was home. The fire was extinguished, but the apartment was left uninhabitable, Dippolito said.
