Fire Causes 'Significant Damage' To Bristol Twp. Home: FD
Four residents fled the fire in the home on Dogwood Drive on Tuesday night, fire officials said.
BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA —Four people escaped a fire that caused "significant damage" to a home in the township's Levittown section on Tuesday night, fire officials said.
Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin T. Dippolito said fire crews were dispatched at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a fire in the 200 block of Dogwood Drive.
The Edgely Fire Company found fire in the front bedroom and flames extending down the hallway, Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard told Levittown Now. The fire was brought under control by 10:37 p.m.

Dippolito said the fire started in a bedroom near a power strip and other electrical cords.
At the time of the fire, the home was occupied by the two homeowners and two young grandchildren, Dippolito said.

"The resident heard two loud popping noises and shortly thereafter saw flames and smoke in the bedroom," he said.
No injuries were reported. He said the family is staying with relatives.
The Edgely Fire Company was assisted by the Levittown No. 2, Newportville, and Third District fire companies.
