Fire Destroys Middletown Township Home: FD

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —An overnight fire has destroyed a home on Silverbell Road in Middletown Township, fire officials said.

Fire crews in Lower Bucks County responded to the fire in the Snowball Gate section of the township around 12:10 a.m. Friday, the Penndel Volunteer Fire Company said.

Penndel's Tower and Rescue 8 assisted the William Penn Fire Company with the fire that was "well-advanced" in the two-story, single-family home in the 40 block of Silverbell Road.

The fire was brought under control in 40 minutes, fire officials said.

Levittown Now reported that part of the burning home collapsed during the blaze, but that three residents were able to escape with their dog and that no injuries were reported.

The Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating the cause of the blaze as of Friday morning, Levittown Now said.

The William Penn Fire Company, the Langhorne-Middletown, Levittown No. 2, Penndel, and Newportville fire companies responded along with the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad.
